Samsung Galaxy S10 series is getting the August 2020 security patch

Just like last month, Samsung has already started rolling out the next month’s security patch for the Galaxy S10 series. The latest security patch is available for August 2020. It is currently rolling out in Germany for the international unlocked Galaxy S10 series.

The software version of this update is G970FXXU8CTG4, G973FXXU8CTG4, and G975FXXU8CTG4 for the Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+ respectively. The full changelog for this update is not available yet, but we know it brings the August 2020 security patch.

The Galaxy S10 series is currently running the One UI 2.1 (based on Android 10) and likely to receive the One UI 2.5 update in near future before the major One UI 3.0 (based on Android 11).

To check the software update manually, just head into the device Settings, tap on the Software update menu and go for the Download and install option.
