Samsung Galaxy S20 series is receiving the August 2020 security patch

After the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10 series, the Exynos-powered Galaxy S20 series is now receiving the August 2020 security patch. The update is currently rolling out in Germany and should soon be available in other regions.

The software version is G980F/G981BXXS4ATGB, G985F/G986BXXS4ATGB, and G988BXXS4ATGB for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra respectively.

The Galaxy S20 series is currently running the One UI 2.1 (based on Android 10) and likely to receive the One UI 2.5 update in near future before the major One UI 3.0 (based on Android 11).

To check the software update manually, just head into the device Settings, tap on the Software update menu and go for the Download and install option.

Samsung Galaxy S20 devices have recently spotted on the benchmark running Android 11 OS. In addition, the leaked code of the Galaxy S20 Ultra also confirmed that the major software update is in the pipeline.
