HarmonyOS 2 beta with brand new UI and features rolling out to the Huawei P20 and Mate 10

Huawei has now extended the HarmonyOS testing to more of its old flagship – the Huawei P20 and Huawei Mate 10 series.

Both of these devices are getting their first closed beta rollout with a full pack of changes and it’s quite mesmerizing for the consumers.


According to the information, the following models from Huawei P20, Mate 10, and Nova 4 series are receiving HarmonyOS 2 closed beta no-log version.

Following the HarmonyOS 2 closed beta rollout for the log version, this rollout was scheduled for later last month but delayed due to unspecified reasons.

Huawei P20 series

  • Huawei P20 (EML-AL00)
  • Huawei P20 (EML-TL00)
  • Huawei P20 Pro (CLT-AL00, CLT-AL01, CLT-AL00)
  • Huawei P20 Pro (CLT-TL00, CLT-TL01)

Huawei Mate 10 series:

  • Huawei Mate 10 (ALP-AL00)
  • Huawei Mate 10 (ALP-TL00)
  • Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design (BLA-AL00)
  • Huawei Mate 10 Pro (BLA-AL00)
  • Huawei Mate 10 Pro (BLA-TL00)

Huawei Nova 4:

  • Huawei Nova 4 (VCE-AL00)
  • Huawei Nova 4 (VCE-TL00)

HarmonyOS 2 rollout versions:

Huawei P20 and Mate 10 series devices with base EMUI 10 version can upgrade HarmonyOS 2 closed beta version On the other hand, Huawei Nova 4 receiving HarmonyOS upgrading from EMUI All of these packages weigh around 5GB, which is hefty.

However, the HarmonyOS 2.0 beta program is currently limited to China and has yet to confirm the rollout dates for the global users.
