HarmonyOS 2.0 public beta announced for 15 Huawei devices

Huawei has opened the seventh batch of HarmonyOS 2.0 closed test recruitment for its devices. The list includes Huawei P10, Mate 9, Nova 3, and MediaPad M5 tablets. In addition, the company has also opened the HarmonyOS 2.0 public beta for 15 Huawei models.

With this new announcement, respective Huawei devices are now eligible to receive the final build of the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system and move towards a stable release. However, Huawei can make any changes to the software if it finds a problem with the software and it is seeded to the users.

According to the information, the testing slots are now expanded and unlimited users can participate in the HarmonyOS testing activity for the above-mentioned Huawei devices.

Most of these smartphone owners still run EMUI software systems (Android) and the global users have no clue of what the company is thinking about their devices. However, we believe that there may be a plan that will come sooner or later.

HarmonyOS:

HarmonyOS 2.0 for smartphones was launched on June 2, 2021. This new mobile operating system comes with brand new features that are designed to enhance the software user interface with brand new features such as service widgets, control panel, easy-to-use super device, connected device management.

There is plenty of hardware acceleration and improvement that comes with HarmonyOS 2.0 that makes it stand above the existing EMUI user interface.

Following the launch, HarmonyOS has progressed rapidly. At the recent Office product launch conference, Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO – Richard Yu announced 100 million HarmonyOS 2.0 installation in smartphones and mentioned that the Chinese tech maker will continue to unravel HarmonyOS in different devices to expand its reach among consumers.

Adding to this, Huawei, for the first time, launched HarmonyOS for the industry with the launch of HarmonyOS Mine. A new operating system designed for the Coal mining business.
