Huawei P40

Huawei P40 is the base variant of the P40 lineup launched in March 2020. It comes with a bunch of premium features such as a powerful Kirin 990 5G, OLED display, high-end camera setup, and much more. In terms of software, it came pre-installed with EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10. Later on, the smartphone also received the EMUI 11 based on the same Android version.

On June 02, Huawei unveiled the new HarmonyOS 2.0 beginning a new era of its mobile operating system. It comes loaded with numerous features and you can even control all of your devices from a single super device. Furthermore, there is a new home screen, lock screen, Smart Folder, more improved security, and much more.

Soon after the announcement of HarmonyOS 2.0, Huawei began recruiting public beta for its 18 devices including the P40 series. While the P40 also tested the developer beta that began from December 2020 and received three developer beta update before the public beta.
