Huawei has released a new HarmonyOS software update for Honor Magic 2 users that brings January 2022 security improvements.
Honor Magic 2 smartphone was launched with Magic UI 2.0 operating system and users have experienced Magic UI 3.0, Magic 3.1 followed by Magic UI 4 major version. Currently, the Magic 2 is running on Huawei’s self-developed – HarmonyOS 2.0 software system.
January 2022 update for Honor Magic 2 comes with HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.220 upgraded from 2.0.0.210. Further, the changelog reveals that the latest update will enhance the security level and protect the device against threats.

Honor Magic 2 (TNY-AL00) and Honor Magic 2 (TNY-TL00) will be eligible to get this latest update, Users of Honor Magic 2 can now download this latest update.
How to download
- Open Settings
- Tap System & updates
- Check for update, if the update is available
- Then Download & Install it
Note: This update won’t erase your data but it’s recommended that you take a backup of important files to prevent any unwanted data loss. There are a few more things to mention including maintaining enough battery level on your phone and keeping your phone’s storage free to download the update package.
