Huawei HarmonyOS 2 software update information for P40 Pro Plus

Huawei P40 is the line of high-end smartphones from Huawei launched back in March 2020. The P40 Pro+ is the top variant of the series which gets all the premium features such as the curved edge display, Kirin 990 5G processor, OLED display, and more.

HarmonyOS 2.0 is Huawei’s new operating system launched on June 02 with the plan to make its ecosystem more versatile and easy to control using a single supermodel. Soon after the announcement, the company started public beta testing starting with 28 devices including the P40 series.

The P40 Pro+ comes pre-installed with EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10 and later on also upgraded to the EMUI 11 based on the same Android version. This smartphone is as eligible as the Mate 40 series phones for the new HarmonyOS and also was part of developer beta updates that were started in December 2020.

HarmonyOS 2.0 brings new features for the Huawei phones with better security and improved privacy. The top features of these devices include a brand new home screen, lock screen, Service Center, AppGestures, and much more.
