Huawei Developer Conference 2021 is currently live on the company’s official social media handle. During the event, Huawei announced the first HarmonyOS 3 developer preview.
The OEM published this new HarmonyOS version as an upgrade to HarmonyOS 2. Therefore, developers in China are eligible to test HarmonyOS 3 through the HarmonyOS 3 developer beta version and can start developing apps for the latest HarmonyOS version.

Notably, HarmonyOS 3.0 developer beta will be opened in the first quarter of 2022. Therefore, it can be tested on different devices. Nevertheless, the launch for general consumers of smartphones and other devices is far away, as it is still in development mode.
Amidst Huawei’s release of the first HarmonyOS 3 Developer Preview, the Chinese tech maker continues to innovate around the three core values of system architecture, super devices, and one-time development, and multi-device deployment, bringing about comprehensive Upgrading system capabilities and development tools.
As per the report, HarmonyOS 3 Developer Preview includes performance improvements over HarmonyOS 2.0. These devices are a 50 percent improvement in search performance, a 100 percent improvement in HD projection stability, and a 20 percent improvement in terms of improved cross-device operation performance.
