New security improvements for the Huawei Mate 30 Pro that carry May 2021 security patch for improved system security and device stability. Meanwhile, the company is also rolling out the April 2021 security update for global users.

According to the info, the latest firmware for the Mate 30 can be identified with EMUI version 11.0.0.188 in Europe and carries an update size of around 303MB. Apart from any newly added feature, the update is limited to installing regular security patches.

It is worth mentioning that the update is currently rolling out in batches and will take some time to reach your device. Also, the EMUI version and the update size may vary, and lastly, before updating, maintain enough battery on your device before installing the update.

How to check for updates?

Download via Settings:

Open Settings then click on System & updates. After opening a Software update, tap on Check for updates option. If the update is available to download then click Download and install. And after installation Reboot the device.

Download via Support app:

Open the Support app on your device and then go to the Service tab. Click on the Update button and then tap on Check for update option. If the update is available then click on Download and install. After installation Reboot the device.
