New update for Huawei Mate 40 brings optimizations alongside February 2021 security update

Huawei has launched the Mate 40 series last year the comes with many high-end features such as a powerful processor, flagship-grade camera, and much more. The series comes with four models which include Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro Plus, and Mate 40 Porche design.

Now, these premium range phones are getting a new software update that brings a bunch of optimizations and improvements along with the February 2021 security patch. The update comes with optimizations for interface display effect, it improves the stability of the camera and also optimizes the system stability for a better user interface.

The latest update can be identified with the latest EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.170 which is upgraded from 11.0.0.165. While its a staged rollout and may take some time to reach your device. If you have received the update then you can download it with the steps given below.

How to update:

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings 
  • Click on the System & Updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
