Huawei Nova 7i May 2021 update expands to more markets internationally

Just recently Huawei rollout the May 2021 security update for the Huawei Nova 7i and now according to the latest info, the company is expanding its availability to more markets which was initially released in the Middle East region.

As per Huawei, the May 2021 security update for its devices fixes 3 critical, 10 high level, and 4 medium levels of CVEs. Additionally, it also resolves 13 hidden privacy issues found in previous security patches.

The security update becomes important for any device as it installs improved security and brings stability to a device for a better user interface. The Nova 7i can match the latest firmware update version number with EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.0.137 upgraded from EMUI 10.1.0.322 (C636E1R2P1).

The firmware is rolling out in batches so it may arrive a bit late on yours, but if it has already then checked the download steps below. The EMUI version and the update size may vary and may not be the same on every Nova 7i device. Lastly, maintain enough battery before installing.

HarmonyOS for Nova 7i

Huawei Nova 7i launched as Nova 6 SE in the Chinese market has started to receive the HarmonyOS 2.0 beta updates. Meanwhile, the global users will have to wait for a while until the company announced its upgrade plan. The previous report on the matter suggests that the Chinese OEM will start the beta testing for the international market in the last quarter of this year.

How to check for updates?

Via Settings

  • You can update your device via Settings
  • Then navigate to System & updates >> Software updates >> Check for updates
  • Lastly (If the update appears) then click on Download and install
  • After installation restarts the device to optimize the applications

Via Support app: 

  • This is an alternate method to download the update on Huawei devices through Support app
  • For that go to Service tab >> Update >> Download and install >> and then finally Install
