Huawei P40 Lite getting April 2021 security update

In the month of June, Huawei is still releasing April 2021 security patch for its eligible devices. According to the latest info, Huawei P40 Lite is now getting April 2021 update with new security improvements.

Meanwhile, the company is also rolling out the new HarmonyOS upgrade to its eligible devices. As per the roadmap of the HarmonyOS, the Huawei Nova 6 SE will get the stable version of the new OS in the third quarter of 2021, which was launched as Huawei P40 Lite globally.

Furthermore, the Huawei P40 Lite and P40 Lite 5G will also get the new operating system in the coming months, while we are still waiting for the final confirmation. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we receive something new.

In the meantime, users can install the April 2021 patch on their P40 Lite smartphone to keep it safe against any external threat and enhance the user experience. After updating, the system security will be improved and it also fixes several new bugs and vulnerabilities.

The latest firmware update can be identified with the EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.0.323 (C432E1R2P1) and comes with an update size of 190MB.

How to check for update:

Download via Settings:

Open Settings > then click on System & updates. After opening a Software update, tap on Check for updates option. If the update is available to download then click Download and install. And after installation Reboot the device.

Download via Support app:

Open the Support app on your device and then go to the Service tab. Click on the Update button and then tap on Check for update option. If the update is available then click on Download and install. After installation Reboot the device.
