Huawei P40 Lite getting September 2020 security update

September 2020 security update is rolling for Huawei P40 Lite. This update improves system security and enhances the performance of the device. The P40 Lite smartphone is available across Europe and features pre-installed Huawei Mobile Service (HMS) and AppGallery.

According to the previous changelog, Huawei P40 lite installs the August 2020 security patch and added the petal search box to the home screen for easier app searches.

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Click on system & updates.
  3. Click on the software update.
  4. Check for update
  5. Click on the download button.
  6. Install updates
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen.
  8. Reboot the device.

Through Support app:

  1. Open the Support app on your device.
  2. If not installed, download it from the Play store.
  3.  Open service tab.
  4. Tap on update.
  5. Check for updates
  6. Click on the download button.
  7. Install updates
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen.
  9. Reboot the device.
