Huawei has started releasing a new software update for the Huawei Watch GT 2 in the global market. The update comes with several improvements and brings stability to the device. Besides some sorts of improvements, the June 2021 security update does not brings any new feature for Watch GT 2.
Huawei has also released a software update for Huawei GT 2 in the Chinese market which came with new system stability, new watch faces, weather application, and more. While for the international variants the firmware only brings some improvements.

Users can idendtify the update via version 1.0.12.58 that carries an update size of 22.71MB.You can check the detailed changelog and steps to update below.
Before you update, the watch needs to be at least 20% charge. Make sure that your Bluetooth connection is stable while you update. Also, the update in the app is for transfering the update package and it still needs to be installed on the watch for update to complete.

- Connect the watch to your phone via Huawei Health app
- Open the app > tap Devices > name of the device > then choose Firmware update
- Now, follow the on-screen instructions to update the watch
