Huawei is currently busy rolling out the new HarmonyOS upgrade to its eligible devices. Meanwhile, the company is also releasing security improvements. This time it’s the May 2021 security patch rolling out for Huawei Y9 Prime.
According to Huawei, the May 2021 update fixes different levels of exploits and issues including 3 critical, 10 high, and 4 medium levels of CVEs for improved system security and device stability.

Huawei Y9 Prime users can identify this latest firmware via the EMUI 10.0 version 10.0.0.411 which is upgraded from EMUI version 10.0.0.401. To be mentioned, the update is currently rolling out in India and comes with an update size of 112MB.
Besides the security improvements, the update does not come with any new features or any other improvements. Before installing the update make sure you back up your crucial data and connect to a strong data connection.
How to update?
Download via Settings:
Open Settings > then click on System & updates. After opening a Software update, tap on Check for updates option. If the update is available to download then click Download and install. And after installation Reboot the device.
Download via Support app:
Open the Support app on your device and then go to the Service tab. Click on the Update button and then tap on Check for update option. If the update is available then click on Download and install. After installation Reboot the device.
