Xiaomi dispatching the January 2022 Android security update for Redmi 9A, 9i, and 9A Sport devices, the latest Android 10 based MIUI 12 update comes with version V12.0.22.0.QCDINXM, and weighs around 2.6GB.
January 2022 update fixes some common vulnerabilities found in the latest software system and provides better system security. Currently, this update is rolling out for users in India and it is expected to expand soon in more regions.
Aside from the common fixes, we have not found any additional changes made to the system. But, you may note some minor improvements after upgrading to the latest MIUI 12 firmware version.

How to update:
Visit phone’s settings, tap on about phone followed by system updates. Now, wait for the phone to fetch the latest update for your device. Once the update appears, press the download and install it.
Note: As you know that the update size is big, it is recommended you maintain sufficient storage as well as adequate battery on the corresponding device.
