Xiaomi has started to rollout a new firmware update with July 2021 security patch for Redmi 9 in India. The update improves the system security by installing the latest Android patch.

The new update comes with the software version V12.0.12.0.QCTINXM and users will have to download a 2.4GB software package to install the update.
Besides this, the changelog doesn’t have much to show us and has not mentioned any other changes made to the system. More information about the update steps and the changelog is mentioned below.

Here’s how to check for updates manually
- From the Home Screen swipe down.
- Tap on Settings icon.
- Select About phone.
- Hit on MIUI version menu.
- Finally, click on Download update
