Launcher 5 released, create custom widgets in iOS 14 and more

The ‘launcher’ is an app made for iOS to customize its lock screen with more new features and customizable options. The app was first introduced in the year 2014 along with iOS 8. Now the app is getting updated to the 5th version. The launcher 5 lets you customize your Home Screen with different shortcuts to widgets, apps, contact, and many more.

Here’s the changelog of the update

Version 5.0

Launcher 5 is the biggest update yet and allows you to customize your iPhone home screen in ways you never could before.

That’s right, on iOS 14 Launcher brings its powerful widgets to your home screen! (iPhone only)

Features of Launcher 5

With iOS 14 Apple already offers new widget settings, but they are based on suggestions with limited customizable options. Launcher 5 allows you to create widgets of your own choice with many customizable options, whatever and however you like. You can place them on your home screen to easily access them.

You can create widgets of your own choice for any app as well as links. It allows you to create shortcuts for links, Message, FaceTime, and email. Even you can add your favorite map locations as widgets on your Home Screen to easily access them whenever you want.

Other than adding shortcuts to your home screen, launcher 5 allows users to set icons for every shortcut. You can also change the widget background using different colors and images. The app even lets you change the appearance of the widget according to the time of the day.

Availability

You can download Launcher 5 on the App Store for free. Although it will lack some of the features which require the Pro version, which is available for $2.99 in-app purchase.
