Xiaomi has already started rolling out the stable MIUI 12, the latest version of its MIUI skin. The Company also started to rollout the Android 11 Beta program for some of the Xiaomi smartphones in China.
According to the MIUI 12 beta changelog, the new update improves system security patches and fixes some known issues. It also removed the frosted glass effect of the notification bottom plate and optimizes the notification bar.

- Updated Google security patch [06-2020, 07-2020] to improve system security.
- Fix the issue that the full-screen gestures fail even after exiting the Ultra Power saving mode.
Status bar, Notification bar
- Temporarily removed the frosted glass effect of the floating notification bottom plate.
- Fix the problem that the occasional desktop drop-down status bar fails.

Important details:
- Due to issue that compass can’t be calibrated, Update is delayed for Redmi Note 7 Pro.
- Due to crash and restart issue in some scenarios, Update is delayed for Redmi Note 8.
- As stability is being tested, Update is delayed for Redmi Note 7.
- Due to system stabiltiy, Update is suspended for Mi CC9e
- Since Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro are adapting to Android 11, Update will be suspended this week.
- Due to network instabiltiy in certain scenario, Update is suspended for Redmi K30 Pro. Because the version is temporarily unable to successfully compile the package, Update is suspended for Mi MIX 2S.
- From September 5th, 2020: MIUI China Beta ROM development will be stopped for these devices:- Mi 8, Mi 8 UD, Mi 8 Transparent edition, Mi 8SE, Mi 8 Lite, Mi MIX 2S, Mi Max 3, Mi MIX 3.
