After the successful rollout of the latest MIUI 14 version, Xiaomi has now shifted its attention toward the upcoming Android skin, incorporated with the next MIUI version. Android 14 is going to be the next OS, which will come with several significant features, and a bundle of new optimizations to take the user’s experience to a new level.
Xiaomi has begun the Android 14 beta update for some of its high-end models including Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, Pad 6 series, and Xiaomi 12T. Therefore, the public users of these devices have now also started wondering, when the Chinese tech firm will allow them to experience the functionalities of this new operating system.
As of now, Xiaomi has not shared any information about the next iteration of MIUI, but there is a high chance that the company will soon disclose the next custom skin as MIUI 15. Or it can also happen that the Xiaomi 13 series may receive an Android 14-based MIUI 14 update at first and then be updated to Android 14-based MIUI 15.
Meanwhile, we can assume that the firm will allow public users to test the latest version of Android at the end of September or at the start of October 2023. In between, the company will test this Android 14 software on a few devices and with a limited number of users through the closed beta, in order to ensure proper stability.
For your information, on April 29, 2023, Xiaomi started testing the Android 14 version on its eligible devices, later on May 10 the company released its first Android 14 beta. Whereas, Google had already started the second Android 14 public beta for its Pixel device and is expected to release two more betas before the stable release, which is expected in August.
