MIUI 12 beta update postponed for Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 and Note 7 due to stability issues

According to the latest information, Xiaomi has delayed the MIUI 12 beta update for Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 7 devices. This update postponed due to some stability issues.

The MIUI 12-based beta update comes software version 20.8.27 and is currently rolling out to users on the beta ROM over the air. The 20.8.27 update brings bring a couple of new features as well such as the Device control feature.

Below you can check the notes and changelog for the MIUI 12 update version 20.8.27.

Release notes:

  • Due to the system stability being tested, the release of Redmi Note 8, Mi Max 3, Mi 8 SE and Redmi K20 will be postponed.
  • According to follow-up testing, some models may be temporarily suspended. We will update the post description in time.
  • As stability issues are being resolved, Redmi Note 7, Mi 10 Ultra, Redmi K30 Ultra, Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Redmi K30 Pro are temporarily suspended today;
  • Redmi K30 5G and Mi 10 Youth Edition are temporarily suspended due to major Android version upgrades
