About MIUI 13 Global release

Last year, Xiaomi introduced the 13th major iteration of its Android skin — MIUI 13 alongside the 12 series flagship. While the MIUI 13 is currently limited to Chinese units, it will surely make its way to Global as well as Indian consumers.

Global consumers should expect the MIUI 13 update in late January or early February 2022 along with the launch of the Xiaomi 12 series globally. To be mentioned, some devices may get the Android 12 OS as well alongside the MIUI 13 update, while some phones will be stuck on Android 11 (due to Android upgrade lifespan) but get features of the 13th version of MIUI.

MIUI 13 comes with a slew of new features and improvements including new fonts, widgets, new wallpapers, new privacy features, new sounds, new design, and more. Read features in detail here.
