MIUI 13 could be coming this month as Xiaomi suspends MIUI 12.5 Beta development

Back in April 2020, Xiaomi announced MIUI 12 with plenty of new features. After the launch, we’ve started hearing rumors about the next version of the MIUI, MIUI 13.

But before MIUI 13, the company introduced MIUI 12 improved and enhanced versions, such as MIUI 12.5 and MIUI 12.5 Enhanced in December last year and August this year respectively.

Recently, Xiaomi has started MIUI 13 internal beta testing for a set of flagship devices in China. As per the MIUI 12.5 closed beta update notes, it seems that MIUI 12.5 beta testing will be suspended for MIUI 13. You can check the full changelog mentioned below.

1. Due to the adjustment of the software system architecture, the MIUI development version will be suspended for a period of time starting from 12.13, always believe that beautiful things are about to happen
2. Due to the major version upgrade of Android, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30i 5G, Mi 10 Youth Edition, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, Redmi Note11 Pro, Redmi Note11 Pro+ will be temporarily suspended from December 13, 2021.
3.. Due to the major version upgrade of Android, Redmi Note10 will suspend the release of the internal test from November 29, 2021.

Xiaomi MIUI 13 

Several reports claimed that Xiaomi is going to launch its newest custom skin, MIUI 13 on December 16 or 28. However, the internal beta testing already started for several flagship devices. The company is regularly releasing the MIUI 12.5 beta update to test the new features that will come with MIUI 13.

MIUI 13 will come with a new UI, a bunch of new features, functions, changes, improvements, updated applications, and much more. Previously, we have been reported that unlike the older versions of MIUI that are based on at least two Android versions, MIUI 13 will completely be different. It may only be based on the Android 12 operating system.
