POCO is sending a new software update for POCO F2 Pro users globally. It comes with an August 2021 security patch for system security enhancement.

POCO F2 Pro August 2021 security update fixes some known issues such as fingerprint unlock animation led to crashes, device was locked again after successful fingerprint unlock attempts, using fingerprints in some apps locked the device, fingerprint icon didn’t appear or was displayed incorrectly when the screen was turned off in landscape mode, and more.

Here’s how to check for updates manually
- From the Home Screen swipe down.
- Tap on Settings icon.
- Select About phone.
- Hit on MIUI version menu.
