Xiaomi is releasing a new software update for Redmi Note 8 globally. This update improves system security by installing the latest Android security patch released in February 2021.

Other than the security patch, there’s no features and optimization have been added to the smartphone. Previously, the smartphone received an Android 11 update in China which brings a set of new features and optimizations for a better user experience.

Aside from this, Xiaomi started rolling out the stable MIUI 12.5, the latest version of its MIUI skin. The company also started rolling out the Android 11 update for some of its smartphones.
