Redmi Note 9 Pro Max receiving February 2021 security patch in India

Xiaomi has recently launched its new Redmi Note 10 series which comes with several premium features at budget pricing. Besides, the company introduced the Redmi Note 9 lineup in India exactly one year ago.

The Redmi Note 9 models come with Android 10-based MIUI 11 out of the box. And currently running on the 12th iteration of the MIUI, MIUI 12.

However, Xiaomi is yet to deliver the Android 11 upgrade for the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max that is the top variant of this series. Meanwhile, the OEM has pushed a new software update for these devices in India that weighs over 3GB.

When it comes to the revisions, the changelog only includes the newer Android patches released in February 2021. It enhances the system security to keep users’ devices protected against CVEs and viruses.

Other than the security improvements, there is no new feature or additional optimizations coming with this FOTA. You can identify it via release number V12.0.3.0.QJXINXM. As it rolling out in several batches, it may take a little longer to arrive as an OTA. While you can download it through the link attached below.
