Xiaomi has officially announced MIUI 12 for many of its devices in different regions. It brings several new features such as new animation effects, super wallpapers, privacy protection, Always 0n display, multi-tasking, sports health, etc.
Always on Display (AOD) is a feature that allows users to customize your phone’s lock screen to show time, date, battery status, notifications, and more while the screen is off.

Currently, Xiaomi’s AOD features allow users to schedule the Always-on Display to be active between a certain time. With MIUI 12, AOD has got a new option.
Users can now choose to display the AOD item ‘For after 10 seconds after tapping ‘. This means that the AOD screen will only appear for 10 seconds after users tap on the screen.
This feature is not available on all devices running Xiaomi’s MIUI because the new Always on Display setting is only available in the China Beta for MIUI 12. This feature may be available with the upcoming MIUI 12 updates for the Global ROM. However, this isn’t an option that is available on MIUI 11.
