[OCTOBER 27] Xiaomi has fixed these bugs in MIUI 12 and MIUI 11 so far – Check the latest issues and official response inside

October 27, 2020:

Xiaomi is rolling out the MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 9 Pro in Indonesia. This update also fixes issues related to System, Lock screen, Status bar, and Phone. It brings the October 2020 security update for system security improvement. The new update is rolling out in batches via OTA.

Xiaomi has also started rolling out the stable MIUI 12 for the global variants of the Redmi Note 9S. The MIUI 12 update for Redmi Note 9S comes with a Swipe down from the upper left corner to open Notification shade, a new mode for scanning documents, optimization of Dark mode, and fixes some known issues.

Heavy battery drain issue:-

After upgrading to MIUI 12, several Xiaomi users are now facing heavy battery draining issues. According to moderator, the heavy battery drain is simply due to the fact that MIUI 12 is resource-heavy. The company may fix this issue in the upcoming updates.

Xiaomi Redmi 9A received a new MIUI 12-based update in Russia. It comes with the September 2020 security patch. The software update of this update is V12.0.4.0.QCDRUXM, which fixes the issues of the device making a noise when the screen was turned off.

  1. Problem with a refresh rate of the Poco launcher. 
  2. Notification not showing even after opening it.
  3. Notification panel not opening in 1st swipe.
  4. Home gestures not working sometimes.
  5. When starting the screen recorder, the control center cant opens a few sec and the control center lags when scrolled.
  6. Screen recorder crashes.
  7. The poweramp button doesn’t work in the control center.

Few users of the Mi MIX 3 5G noticed that the Super wallpapers are not available on their devices after installing the MIUI 12 update. As the Super Wallpaper is not available, so the Themes app may need an update.

Users of Redmi Note 8 Pro devices are reporting that the Storage Details page isn’t loading on their devices after the MIUI 12 update. The company is already aware of this issue and is working to resolve them in the future.

On the Poco F1 devices, many new bugs have been reported. The bug which crashes the screen recorder and the refresh rate issues found on the Poco Launcher. The company will soon release fixes for these bugs with the new software update.

August 17, 2020:

According to the latest information, a new bug found on the Redmi Note 8 Pro that automatically caches files created by the clear app. After changing the theme on the Poco F1, a new bug has reported which resets the shortcuts in the control center. Since the company is aware and is working to resolve them in the future.

August 14, 2020 :

Now, Xiaomi is rolling out the MIUI 12 China Beta ROM with the firmware version of 20.8.13. This beta ROM fixes some of the issues such as the Gaussian Blur notification bar is not visible in the drop-down and some notification icons are not being displayed in the native. These fixes are soon available on the stable version.

August 6, 2020:

Poco is releasing a new software update for Poco F2 Pro, which brings fixes for the floating window bug and the unresponsive touch issue. The latest software version of this update is 12.0.2.0.QJKIDXM in Indonesia and version 12.0.2.0.QJKEUXM in Europe.

Xiaomi is in half-way to release the MIUI 12 update for its smartphones, but, the latest version of MIUI has many known bugs.

The Chinese smartphone company is working on fixing those identified bugs, you can check the list of fixes below for various smartphones. Some of them are random reboot issues while using the camera app, mic not working, and swipe up gesture. The company will release fixes for these bugs with the next software update.
