Xiaomi has kicked off a new MIUI 12.5 beta update with version 21.8.9 in China. The new update fixes a bunch of issues with the status bar and notification bar.

The MIUI 12.5 update fixes the problem that the floating notification of missed calls occasionally appears abnormal, the media control panel does not occasionally appear in the notification bar when playing music, the flickering of floating notifications, and more.
It also fixes the Xiaoai jumping issue of the scanner to improve the stability. Currently, the new update is only available for testers in China. You can check the updated changelog of this update mentioned below.
