Xiaomi has kicked off a new MIUI 12.5 beta update for its Redmi and Mi smartphones in China. The latest beta update can be identified via the MIUI 12.5 build version 21.10.20, which improves Mi Music, Weather, Status bar, and Notification bar.

As per the changelog, it optimizes privacy and data compliance-related functions to protect the data security of Mi Music. It fixes the display problem of the copywriting of the precipitation forecast page of the Weather app.
The latest update also fixes the issue that the notification bar can be pulled down when the lock screen is closed, but the notification bar can still be pulled down after the screen is locked, exception of inconsistent notification size and background caused by application lock, the notification display is misplaced when long-pressing the notification bar, and more.
Currently, the new update is only available for testers in China. You can check the updated changelog of this update mentioned below.
