Xiaomi has been preparing for a long time to enter the foldable smartphone market. It is expected that the company is planning for a grand entry into the foldable smartphone market this year with different foldable phones.

Now, a new leak revealed the official name of the upcoming device, which seems to have been released under the Mi MIX series. As per the Display Search of Ross Young, Xiaomi’s foldable smartphone may launch as Mi MIX 4 Pro Max.
The display will be provided by China Star Optoelectronics Technology (CSOT), a display subsidiary of TCL. Earlier reports claim that Samsung Display would manufacture the display for Xiaomi’s foldable phone were incorrect.
The analyst confirmed that the Samsung display will surely provide a display for Xiaomi, but it will be used in-folding phones, which will be announced later.
As per Young’s reply, Mi MIX 4 Pro Max will have an outward-folding design similar to the Huawei Mate XS and there are rumors that the cover display of the device will be 6.38 inches when folded.
In 2019, Xiaomi first demonstrated a working model of a foldable smartphone, but the Chinese manufacturer has not yet launched commercially in the market.
Xiaomi has also filled several designs patents, one of which has a pop-up camera, the other has a sliding display similar to the Mi MIX 3, and the third has the same appearance as the Samsung Galaxy Fold.
