New update available for the Galaxy S8, S8+, Note 8, A2, M10, A6+ and J7 (2018)

Samsung is now rolling out a new software update with October 2019 security patch to its many smartphones. Let’s start with the 2017’s flagship smartphones – the Galaxy S8, S8+, and Note8, getting the October security patch in the US  for unlocked smartphones.

Here’s the list of eligible devices that will get the One UI 2.0/Android 10

The software version of this update is G950U1UES6DSJ1, G955U1UES6DSJ1, and N950U1UES6DSI3,  for the Galaxy S8, S8+, and Note8 respectively.

Additionally, the company is sending latest month update to the low-range smartphones, the Galaxy A2 Core, M10, A6+, and J7 (2018).

  • The Galaxy A2 is getting an update in India
  • The M10 is receiving the latest update in the Philippines.
  • The Galaxy A6+ is getting the update in Poland and the Galaxy J7 (2018) in Puerto Rico and the US.

If you have one of these phones, you can manually check for the update by heading into the Settings > Software Update > Download updates manually.
