Huawei P40 series grabbing the latest software update that installs the security patch released in October 2020 for a better security experience. Currently, this update is rolling for Chinese users only.
However, EMUI 11 beta testing is going on for the Huawei P40 series and Huawei has already released the first and second EMUI 11 beta software update for the P40 users in China. Now, the company has started sending the EMUI 11 public beta software update and soon releases the stable EMUI 11.
Furthermore, Huawei is expanding the EMUI 11 beta testing program for more Huawei devices in different countries/regions.

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:
Through Setting:
- Open Settings on your device
- Click on system & updates
- Click on the software update
- Check for updates
- Click on the download button
- Install updates
- After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen
- Reboot the device
Through Support app:
- Open the Support app on your device
- If not installed, download it from the play store
- Open service tab
- Tap on update
- Check for updates
