Update 11, January 17 (11:53 ET) ― Android 12 update – T-Mobile

T-Mobile’s Android 12

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are now receiving the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update in the US on the T-Mobile network. Along with Android 12, the update brings December 2021 security patch.

Verizon’s January 2022 security patch

Both the foldable devices are also receiving the January 2022 security patch on the Verizon network in the US. The software versions are:

January 2022 security patch rolling out

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 are receiving the January 2022 security patch with software version F711BXXS2BUL8 and F926BXXS1BUL8 respectively.

According to Samsung, the company added 62 fixes, 52 from Google and 10 from Samsung, in the January 2022 security patch.

The latest Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update is breaking some devices while booting. Additional problems include screen flickering, dark mode, dual messenger feature, gallery app, and bad performance. Some video apps have stopped working too. The refresh rate issue still persisted in the stable update for some users.

The company is reportedly planning to stop the rollout until these issues are resolved.
