Samsung Galaxy A31 receiving Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update

Samsung launched the Galaxy A31 just last year with a number of budget-friendly features along with One UI 2.1 based on Android 10. The smartphone was further upgraded to the One UI 2.5.

As per the latest information, the company is now sending a new update for Galaxy A31 over the air which brings the latest Android 11 based One UI 3.1 update. This new version of One UI comes with several optimizations and improvements over the original One UI 3.0.

Alongside the One UI 3.1 features, Samsung has also included the latest April 2021 security patch with this FOTA, which increases the system security by bringing fixes for 21 CVEs from Samsung and 30 severe threats from Google.

Identified via version number: CUD3, the Android 11 update for Galaxy A31 smartphone users is currently spreading the Korean market, which is expected to cross the boundaries anytime.

 

Samsung introduced the One UI 3.1 alongside the Galaxy S21 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event. This version brings many helpful features such as Eye Comfort Shield, Object Eraser, Private Share, Samsung Free, Google Duo integration with stock dialer app, buds Auto-Switching, ability to remove location data before sharing, and more.

How to check for update:

  • Go to Settings
  • Scroll down to Software updates
  • Then click on Download and install
