While we are in the midst of the One UI 3.1 rollout, the regular security updates are on their way for the Galaxy devices. Verizon has just recently released the January 2021 security patch for the Galaxy Note 8 users in the US and now the latest March 2021 security update is being rolled out for the Galaxy S21 users.
The security updates are essential for any device as it improves the stability and keeps it protected against any external threats. The users can identify this latest update via the software version G991USQU1AUB3, G996USQU1AUB3, and G991USQU1AUB3 for Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra respectively.
Besides the improved security, there are no new features or changes introduced along with this firmware. If you own a Verizon-locked Galaxy S21 device then you can check for the update with the following steps given below.
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down to the Software update section
- Then click on Download and install
Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 series of devices back on January 14 with a bunch of premium features such as Dynamic AMOLED display, attractive design, 5G connectivity, and much more.
