OnePlus 6/6T grabbing February 2021 security update, no signs of OxygenOS 11

OnePlus is currently sending the latest Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 to its eligible devices. The latest version of OxygenOS brings a bunch of new features and changes over the previous one. The more improved AOD (Always on Display) will now provide a series of customizable options. While the updated privacy optimizations keep your data more secure.

Besides this, there are many other changes that are introduced via OxygenOS 11 update to provide users with refreshed UI. Alongside the major upgrades, the company is also taking care of its older models by sending regular security updates.

According to the latest info, the OnePlus 6 and 6T smartphone users have started receiving a new update that installs February 2021 security patch for improves system security and device stability. Along with the security, the GMS (Google Mobile services) are also been updated to December 2020.

Furthermore, the latest firmware also comes with fixes for some known issues and improves the system stability for a better user experience. The latest version can be identified via OxygenOS version 10.3.9. It is rolling out in batches, so it may take some time to reach your device.

Besides the security patch, the users are also waiting for the Android 11 update on their OnePlus 6 series of smartphones. The company has not yet confirmed anything about the rollout plan for the phones. As the mid-range OnePlus Nord has already started to get the new version, we expect that the company will soon roll it out for the OnePlus 6 devices.
