OnePlus has recently released the Android 14 (OxygenOS 14) beta for OnePlus 11 and now users have locked their eyes on the stable release. No doubt, the latest activity has hyped the expectations of fans regarding the coming major upgrade.
While the tech giant is busy distributing the OxygenOS 13.1 build to its eligible devices, here is when you can expect OxygenOS 14 stable upgrade for your OnePlus smartphone. As per some old inputs and details, the official version may take its steps on the user platform by September this year.
How? Let’s find out!
OnePlus amazed its users last year by appearing as the first tech maker to roll out the Android 13 DP1 for OnePlus 10 Pro model. The company took this step alongside the Google I/O 2022 event.
Hereafter, the company started serving beta firmware for the 10 Pro models, while Google was releasing the stable Android 13 for Pixel devices. After pushing off two beta updates in August, the Chinese OEM announced the stable Android 13 upgrade for the OnePlus 10 Pro in September 2022.
And a few actions show that history will repeat itself this year as well. Accordingly, the company rolled out the Android 14 (OxygenOS 14) developer preview for the newly launched flagship – OnePlus 11 after the I/O 2023 event wrap-up. Following the flashback, OnePlus could begin the OxygenOS 14 closed beta for the handsets, somewhere in August 2023.
Eventually, in September, the company may announce the OxygenOS 14 public beta followed by the stable release. OnePlus has remained behind in terms of spreading timely security updates to its devices. But the company never lagged in pushing the major and prominent upgrades to its users.
Thus, we can expect to find stable OxygenOS 14 for OnePlus devices by September 2023. Let’s see if the company follows the previous timeline, or we may encounter new changes this year. Stay tuned.
