Before getting on the topic let us understand what exactly OnePlus has changed in its latest custom skin – OxygenOS 13. The OxygenOS 13 includes new UI features, interface changes, and other changes.
Also, the new custom skin adds AI System Boost, Always On Display (AOD), Quality of Life Enhancement, Smart Launcher, Sidebar Toolbox, Hyperboost game engine, Spatial Sound, and more.

After the integration of OnePlus with OPPO things changed, although the CEO Pete Lau said that it would be the good future of OxygenOS and would include all the features found in traditional Oppo devices.
The recent update of both the Chinese brand has adopted the same nature-inspired Aquamorphic Design saying that it is simpler, faster, intuitive, etc, on OxygenOS 13 and ColorOS 13. Everything from the initial to the final stage I think there is nothing new between these two OS except its name with the same Android version.
OnePlus, on the other hand, said that it only needs Oppo and OnePlus and combines the best features of both the operating systems to face the fierce competition in the market.
Last but not least, may some users could be happy with the changes at least for now. But if we look to the coming future there could be a strong possibility that both companies will lose their fans. To live in a tech empire OnePlus and Oppo should work on this matter that will make a better tomorrow.
