With the release of OxygenOS 13, some OnePlus smartphone users are wondering when they will get this update, especially the OnePlus 8 users. Unfortunately, the company hasn’t revealed its rollout plans for Android 13, but OnePlus has confirmed which device will get the Android 13 update. Surprisingly, the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will also get OxygenOS 13 update.

Users who don’t know, the OnePlus 8 series was unveiled in the first quarter of 2020 with OxygenOS 11, which is based on Android 11. And, OnePlus had confirmed that the device would receive two major Android updates also it will continue to receive software updates until April 2023.

Still, a question arises – Which OnePlus smartphone will get OxygenOS 13 first? The OnePlus 10 Pro will receive the software first, followed by the new OnePlus 10T later this year. It is not yet clear when and how owners will be able to participate in the open beta program.
In the coming future, the OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, 8T, OnePlus 9, 9 Pro, 9R, and 9RT will also be updated. Nord owners include the Nord 2, Nord 2T, Nord CE, Nord CE 2, and Nord CE 2 Lite. As we told you before, OnePlus has not yet committed to a final release schedule for this software.
Well, the OnePlus 8 smartphone users will have to wait for a while to get the Android 13 update. Soon, the Chinese smartphone maker will release its OxygenOS 13 roadmap.
OxygenOS 13 – Key Features
OnePlus refers to the design of the OxygenOS 13 user interface as “Aquamorphic” and includes a number of improvements. OnePlus also talked about Smart Toolbox and Spatial Audio, but here comes Private Safe 2.0.
Additionally, it includes Google’s Nearby Share, a feature called App Streaming that enables screen sharing with ChromeOS devices. And especially for gaming, OnePlus adds the Hyperboost game engine, and Zen Mode will also be optimized as part of the update.
