OnePlus 8T users reported about battery draining and heating issues

Last month, OnePlus launched its latest flagship smartphone OnePlus 8T that comes pre-installed with OxygenOS 11 and some most advanced features. Its 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging is one of its key features and the fast charger can recharge the battery full in 39 minutes.

Meanwhile, following the launch, some users have started complaining about its battery heating and draining issues. The OnePlus 8T reportedly charges slower than expected and starts heating within 15 minutes of normal usage.

Some of the users reported that their smartphone gets extremely heated while downloading apps from Playstore. Well, this is not a one-time thing, the device also warms on charging for a bit long, on Whatsapp video calling, and on playing games like PUBG.

The OnePlus 8T owners reported that they can feel the heat on both sides of their phones even the camera module also gets warm. It’s battery also drains fast and provides only 3 to 4 hours of screen time usage. The higher refresh rate of 120Hz also causes battery drain issues.

OnePlus has recently rolled out a new software update for OnePlus 8T but this update is also not able to solve the issues but the device continues to heat after 30 minutes of web browsing or using social media for a while. Using a hotspot for more than 30 minutes also generates heat.

Besides this, some users are facing no bugs regarding the battery drain or heating while some are facing other issues related to camera, video calling, Whatsapp keyboard, screen brightness, and more.

The reason behind these issues is not cleared yet, hope the company will soon fix the issue and provide a stable OTA for the OnePlus 8T.
