[Update: delayed, pending final approval] OnePlus is releasing the final developer’s preview of OxygenOS 11 (Android 11) on August 10

According to the confirmation from a staff member on the OnePlus forums, the final developer preview of Android 11 is still pending for the final approval. It was previously set to release on August 10.

“As you may know, our software updates need to be tested and approved before being publicly released. Right now, the Developer Preview 3 is still pending final approval. We really appreciate your patience and will keep you posted.”

After the HydrogenOS 11 release date confirmation, OnePlus CEO has now confirmed that Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 is also coming on August 10.

In the OnePlus community, CEO Pete Lau says those testing the developer preview of OxygenOS 11 will get their final build on August 10. If there’s no major bugs left, the company will start the OxygenOS 11 Open Beta program. Unfortunately, we can not say when exactly the OxygenOS 11 Open Beta update will come but expect more details on August 10.

OnePlus will be introducing some fresh design elements, as well as some highly anticipated features that many of you have been asking for including the Always-on Display feature.

The CEO also promised super-smooth performance, clean UI, lightweight, and a ton of customizations with the new OxygenOS 11.

Today, I wanted to drop you a note to let you know about some exciting developments with OxygenOS. On August 10, we’ll be releasing the final developer’s preview build of OxygenOS 11 to give a small group of our most technically-inclined community members a chance to start testing out some of the new features and share feedback with our team. Then once we’ve squashed most of the big bugs and improved overall stability, we’ll release a full open beta to let even more of you try it out.
