OnePlus is rolling out a new feature – ‘OnePlus Scout’ in India, which allows users to easily search for anything on their devices from a single unified search bar. It comes with the latest update for the OxygenOS launcher app.

Currently, the unified search feature comes with the software version v4.7.2_200818175549 of the OnePlus Launcher app in India.
To get started, you have to install the app or if you already have the app then update it and grant all the required permission. You can also customize results preferences, control permissions, and enable search tips by heading over to OnePlus Scout settings.
The new OnePlus Scout feature will let you easily look up contacts, files, music, and more from the search bar in the app drawer. The feature will also let you find locations, restaurants, or places nearby and it will even solve simple math problems or queries by tapping into the Calculator app. Additionally, the feature will let you find news and weather information from apps installed on your device or directly from the web.

This new feature is currently only available for OnePlus users in India and there’s no information regarding a wider rollout. You can download the OnePlus launcher app form the Play store.
