OnePlus is rolling out a new OxygenOS software update for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T with a build version OxygenOS 10.0.1. The latest firmware update comes with a September 2020 security patch that brings enhancements to the security of your smartphones.

According to the changelog, the latest update fixes the abnormal ‘call recording issue’ and ‘de-activated alarm issue when the phone was powered off’. It comes with some bug fixes and the August 2020 Google Mobile Services (GMS) package. This update also brings improvements for the camera to provide users a better image capturing and video shooting experience.

There’s something exclusive for the OnePlus 5T, it adds the back gesture from the bottom of the screen for the device.

OnePlus says:

“We are starting to push the incremental roll-out of OxygenOS version 10.0.1 for the OnePlus 5 devices and the incremental roll-out for OnePlus 5T will soon follow.”

This is an incremental rollout. It may not be available for every user now but will be soon followed to every OnePlus 5 and 5T device after ensuring no issues.

HOW TO UPDATE:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click on System
  3. Open System settings
  4. Download and Install now
