OnePlus OxygenOS 12.1 has new Screen Recorder feature

OnePlus OxygenOS 12.1 offers you a solid set of customization options with screen recording. Looking at the options and features for an instant, you’ll need to allow your phone to access its memory, audio recording, and network connection. Once you accept, you’ll see a floating widget with three buttons: a red record button, a setting button, and a button to turn the feature off.

How to Add Screen Recorder as a Shortcut on OnePlus OxygenOS 12.1?

  • Drag the status bar down to reveal the notification drawer.
  • Pull down once again to reveal all the settings.
  • Select the pencil icon at the bottom of the notification drawer to add more tiles.
  • Drag and hold the Screen Recorder tile and drag it from the bottom to the notification drawer.
  • Select the position of the tile in the tray.
  • Press the Back button to finish editing.

You have to go to Settings to customize the recording options. Users can choose the resolution, the bitrate for the video (between 1-24Mbit), and the number of frames (15-60FPS). You can also select an audio source for recording using the built-in audio or the recording feature from the built-in microphone. This option is especially useful if you want to create a video tutorial outlining a feature.

This feature also offers you the ability to choose video orientation, hide floating widgets, automatically stop recording when the screen is off, and show touch actions on the screen. After setting the option, all you have to do is press the record button on the floating widget to start recording your screen.

Like everything else in OxygenOS 12.1  Screen Recorder comes with all the customization options you could want and it’s one of the best built-in recording features you can find on Android today.
