OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro OxygenOS Update Tracker [T-Mobile OnePlus 8 gets Google Live Caption with 5G support on additional bands]

T-Mobile is rolling out the first OxygenOS software update for the OnePlus 8. The new OxygenOS 10.5.8.IN55CB update brings Google’s live caption feature and support for additional 5G bands. It also includes a few general improvements and bug fixes. The size of this update is 308MB and also adds the April 2020 security patch.

According to the official changelog, the update adds 5G support for bands n2 and n66. The OnePlus 8 already supports 5G on T-Mobile’s n71 band and Sub-6GHz 5G through n41 and n5 bands out-of-the-box.

OnePlus is rolling out a new software update for the OnePlus 8 Pro. It brings OxygenOS 10.5.8 with many improvements and fixes. It also adds the April 2020 security patch. The size of this update is 155MB.

According to the changelog, it optimized touch and interaction experience. It also improved the power consumption performance of the system, video playing effect when in low brightness, system stability, and fixed general issues.

You will also see Bluetooth connection stability and compatibility improvements, optimized camera HDR video effects, and Wi-Fi stability enhancements.
