POCO X5 Pro 5G MIUI 14 update now live in more markets

Xiaomi is dispatching the latest features and optimizations of the Android 13-based MIUI 14 update for POCO X5 Pro 5G smartphone users in more markets. However, the consumers of the corresponding model will also acquire the functionalities of the upcoming Android 14-based MIUI 15 update in the future.

Based on Android 13 the MIUI 14 update brings a bunch of great offerings such as the ability to block annoying pp notifications, and new widget formats to allow more combinations, making your experience even more convenient. Further, the reimagined home screen gives the device an intuitive and more soothing look.

Additionally, the big home screen folders highlight the apps you use most and make them accessible with a single tap, the search in settings is now more advanced and provides a better searching experience. In addition, the April 2023 security patch will improve the security grades of the system and make the device more safe and more secure for better interpretation. Therefore, the update is currently rolling out in Russia and will be expanded to the remaining market owners in the coming days. Till then, consumers of the POCO X5 Pro 5G will be able to determine the MIUI 14 major software update via the build version V14.0.1.0.TMSRUXM and an installation package of 4.7GB.

How to update 

Also, the update is released gradually and will be available for every user soon. In case you don’t want to wait for the OTA, then install the software manually and enjoy the latest functionalities. To do so, visit Settings > About Phone > System Update > MIUI Version > Download & Install.

Note before upgrade 

Don’t forget to back up all important items before upgrading. The update process might take longer than usual. Also, expect overheating and other performance issues as your device might take some time to adapt to the new version. Some third-party apps aren’t yet compatible with Android 13 and you might not be able to use them normally.
