Realme X3 and X3 Super Zoom receiving November/December security patch with some fixes

A few months ago Realme launched its Realme X3 and Realme X3 Super Zoom smartphones which come pre-installed with Android 10. Meanwhile, the devices are eligible for the latest Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0 and will soon receive an update.

For now, Realme has started rolling out a new software update for Realme X3 and X3 Super Zoom smartphones. The latest update brings November as well as December 2020 Android Security patch which enhances the device’s stability. It also carries several bug fixes and optimizations.

The official changelog mentions a newly added icon for phone calls with Bluetooth earphones. It also optimizes the experience when using the combination of fingerprint and face unlock. Adding to these, the latest update includes fixes regarding screen flicker, crashing, and dark mode.

  • Fixed the probabilistic screen flicker when editing the album

Alarm

  • Fixed the probabilistic crashing issue in the alarm detail interface

Dark Mode

  • Fixed the probabilistic screen flicker when entering passwords entries in Dark mode
  • Fixed when using Clone Phone in Dark Mode, the probabilistic issue that From Sunset to Sunrise status is out of sync

Note:

Once again this is a staged rollout. It may not be available for every Realme X3 and X3 Super Zoom smartphone but will soon be after ensuring stability.

Before You Begin:

This update will not lose your device data but make sure to backup your phone before updating.

How To Update:

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up, then tap Settings
  2. Click Software update > Check for update
  3. Follow the onscreen prompts to update to the latest software
