Xiaomi‘s security update includes several improvements and bug fixes that are rolled out along with the security improvements. Now, the company started releasing new software for Redmi Note 9 Pro devices in the Chinese market. The new firmware update carries build number V184.108.40.206.RJSCNXM and focuses on system security improvements.
This update comes with a few bug fixes so that users can have a better experience. As per the changelog, it fixes the lock screen notification animations froze issue after the device was unlocked using face data and notification flash problem in barely some cases.
It further comes with the solution for the difficulty that floating notifications weren’t displayed correctly in landscape mode and the notification badges weren’t updated for incoming notifications on a locked device.
Other than the security patch, the below-linked changelog does not mention anything else to be added. The update will just take your (around) 3.4GB of data. As per Xiaomi, the June 2021 update for Xiaomi devices fixes various bugs and different levels of CVEs.
It is worth mentioning that the update is currently rolling out in batches and will take some time to reach your device.
