Back in March 2020, Xiaomi’s Redmi brand launched its new smartphone Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in India, which features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ LCD screen display, Snapdragon 720G 8nm Soc, 64 MP primary camera with Samsung GW1 sensor, and a 5020mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

Now, the company is delivering a new update with a May 2021 security patch for Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in India, which improves the system security for a better experience.
Apart from the security patch, this update also brings a new feature by which the location info reported automatically before the device is powered off.
The new update comes with the MIUI 12 version V12.0.4.0.QJXINXM and weighs 2.5GB. Below you can check the download link and changelog of this udpate.
